Kathryn Balazs, D.O.
Kathryn

Dr. Balazs graduated from Ohio University summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa with a bachelors degree in english. She went on to medical school at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1996. She completed a one-year general internship and a three-year residency in dermatology at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. She won the Koprince Award for outstanding presentation at the AOCD national convention during her residency. Her professional memberships include: AOA, AOCD, AAD, OOA, OSMA, Montgomery and Greene County Medical Societies, and the Dayton District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at OUCOM and Wright State University School of Medicine. She and her husband have one daughter.

Barbara Cortez, D.O.

Dr. Cortez graduated from West Liberty State College with a bachelors degree in science, and went on to medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1997. She completed a one-year general internship and then a three-year residency in dermatology at Grandview Hospital and Medical Center. She won the Koprince Award for outstanding presentation at the AOCD national convention during her residency. She also won two O'Classon Awards for Outstanding Research. Her professional memberships include: AOA, AOCD, AAD, OOA, OSMA, Montgomery and Greene County Medical Societies, and the Dayton District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. She and her husband have one daughter and twin boys.

Sherry Grooms, C.N.P.

Ms. Grooms graduated with honors from Wright State University with a bachelors degree in nursing. She went on to earn two masters degrees in community health and family nurse practitioner, graduating magna cum laude in both. She has worked in many clinical settings, as a school nurse, a research assistant and in a private family practice office. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses and has presented a poster at their Ohio conference titled: New Treatment Strategies for Non-Melanoma Skin Cancers. She and her husband have two daughters.

LouAnn McKee, C.N.P.

Ms. McKee graduated from Mount Saint Joseph College with a bachelors degree in nursing. She went on to earn a masters of science in nursing, graduating magna cum laude from Case Western Reserve University. She has worked in many clinical settings, including emergency medicine, critical care, newborn intensive care, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and most recently, several years in dermatology. She is a member of the Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses. She and her husband have two sons and one daughter.

Christine Price, Paramedical Aesthetician

Ms. Price received her training and licensure in Paramedical Aesthetics from the Ohio State University in 1993. In 1999 she went on to study in Paris at the renowned Biologique Recherche Institute of Beauty. There she received accreditation in the Facial Remodeling method, and returned to Paris in 2004 for further training and advanced certification. She has served on staff with plastic surgeons, dermatologists and naturopaths throughout the greater Dayton and Cincinnati areas. Ms. Price utilizes the exclusive Biologique Remodeling Face Machine that sculpts facial muscles which results in lifted skin, and also stimulates collagen and boosts absorption of skin-care elixirs and products through the guided application of three varying forms of high frequency microcurrents. She complements her skin-care expertise with her skills as a makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist. Ms. Price owns the La De Da Salon in Oakwood. She and her husband have one son and one daughter.
